With the Prä-machines you could make single books, small editions and small series. These machines are perfect solutions for the economical manufacturing of "books on demand" like i.e. digital printed books, individual photo books.
For the traditional, common hand-bookbinders, only single books could be made economically. Industrial machine lines need large quantities to give a return of the large investment (see benchmark). With the Prä-machines we offer solutions for an economical manufacturing of small (from one-offs) to medium editions (200 pcs/h) for a reasonable investment.
Beside that, we would like to demonstrate to you that these machines are very reliable and easy to operate. You can find detailed product information as well as video footage right on this website. For detailed demonstrations (even with your products), we have built our Demo- and Trainingscenter (DTC) in Hamburg, right next to our head-office. Here we can show you live the capabilities of our machines before you even buy them. In addition we also offer courses in which you or your employees can learn how to operate the machines at the best.
The Prä-machines allow a simple and high quality making of hard- and softcovers as well as binding and finishing complete books - except the printing.
All machines can process different formats without or with minimal set-up-time. This means, that even the smallest editions with changing formats can be made. Due to the small investments for the machines, the economical risk is small but still the output and performance are significant and highly competitive.
To enlarge the capacity it could be less expensive and more simple to add another line of machines instead of investing into a large production line. At least a comparison of investment and performance is suggested.
It is also possible to use block-making, case-making or finishing separately in combination with other machines. There is no neccessity to buy all machines, except you want the whole line. Due to the fact that you would have many individual machines, you can continue with the production, even when there is a breakdown of a single machine.
The simple maintenance, the easy operation and the reliability of the Prä-machines is another advantage that is not to be underestimated.
