To fill our marbling tray measuring 52 x 37 x 5 cm, add 4 heaped tablespoons of Gelasco to 5-6 liters of warm water, for our small marbling tub measuring 35 x 24 x 3 cm, 1 heaped tablespoon of Gelasco in 1 - 1.5 liters of warm water. Quickly stir in the powder using a whisk. Then leave the well-mixed mass to rest, covered, for at least 8 hours. If lumps have formed, this is not a problem: they will dissolve during the resting period. The base is ready for use when the water has turned into a crystal-clear, gel-like mass.
After the 8 hours: The solution of Gelasco is now mixed well again. The solution should fill about three-quarters of the tub height. Dilute with water in small steps as needed. For an optimal marbling process, the bath should have a dense consistency, but should be neither too thick nor too thin. The correct density is achieved when the AscoColor eco marbling color is evenly distributed on the surface of the bath.
