Look forward to two days full of ideas, exchange, hands-on book design – and the latest machines and technologies for hardcover production, live at the Schmedt Democenter in Hamburg.

On September 11 and 12, 2025, starting at 9 am each day, we’re bringing together people who love books – in all their facets: craft, design, technology and creativity. Whether you’re a bookbinder, publisher, printer, designer or DIY enthusiast – the Hardcover Days are for everyone who wants to not only produce books, but also experience, understand and rethink them.

From Planatol, iBookBinding, and ideal to our workshop partners Anna Frey, Lea Giesecke, and Martinus Janssen – at the Hardcover Days, you'll meet people who approach hardcover production and book design with passion, expertise, and fresh ideas. Hands-on Workshops – creative, practical, open to all

From the Airport
