PräMelt PO Plus – One adhesive. Two applications.
PräMelt PO Plus is a modern PO hotmelt for perfect binding, suitable for both spine gluing and side gluing. This replaces two previously separate adhesives with a single solution and significantly streamlines the binding process. The adhesive is ideal for small and mid-size perfect binders as well as industrial lines, delivering high bond strength and reliable process stability.
Efficient in processing and consumption
Thanks to PO technology, PräMelt PO Plus can be processed with a reduced glue laydown and at lower temperatures. This reduces adhesive consumption, saves energy, and enables faster setting, allowing books to be forwarded to the next operation sooner. PräMelt PO Plus is also suitable for high-grammage coated digital printing papers and offers greater durability than standard EVA hotmelts. For extremely coated substrates or basis weights above 170 g/m², we continue to recommend PUR adhesives.
PräMelt PO Plus has been successfully tested on various perfect binding systems, including Müller Martini Antaro, Horizon BQ 500, and Kolbus KM 600. Before conversion, thorough cleaning of the system is required; mixing with EVA adhesives must be avoided. Please refer to the data sheet for the recommended processing parameters.
