The PräziBand is designed to quickly and easily apply headband to book blocks. The headband is equipped with double-sided adhesive tape automatically by the machine. The book block is pressed down slightly against the headband so that it sticks to the head of the book block. By pressing the foot switch, the headband is cut off at the pre-selected width. The block is taken out, the next piece of headband is equipped with double-sided tape and forwarded.
We recommend the following consumables:
- PräFix 700 double-sided adhesive tape in 9 mm width (item no. 32951009)
- Machine headband 500m length (part no. 50220XXX)
Process
- After the machine has been equipped with both the double-sided adhesive tape and the headband, the width of the book block is measured and entered into the machine's control panel. The headband is guided automatically into the intake slot while at the same time being equipped with double-sided adhesive tape.
- The book block is now placed into the intake slot against the stop and pressed down slightly, so that the headband sticks to the head of the book block.
- By pressing the foot pedal, the headband is cut off at the pre-selected width.
- The block is now taken out.
- The next piece of headband is equipped with adhesive tape and forwarded into the slot. Now the next book block can be inserted and/or headband can be attached to the other side of the block just taken out.

Advantages
Since double-sided tape is used instead of glue to attach the headband, there is no extra dirt. A foot pedal is used to cut the headband to the preset width and then the double-sided tape is applied automatically. As soon as the headband has been applied and the book block has been removed, the next piece of headband is advanced so that work can continue directly.
