The PräziRibbon is designed to quickly and easily attach a page-marking ribbon (book mark) to the book block. The glue applicator applies a drop of glue on to the book block. The book mark is folded and pressed on to the book by means of a roller. Now the book mark is cut off neatly at the other end of the book block at the preset length, and the book block is removed.
Process
- To prepare the machine for operation, the glue applicator is filled with glue, the book mark is mounted and the required ribbon length is preset.
- The book block is now opened and placed over the book mark onto the support and the cycle button is pressed.
- The glue applicator is lowered and applies a drop of glue on to the book block.
- The ribbon is now folded and pressed on to the book by means of a roller.
- Now the book mark is cut off at the preset length on the other side of the machine, and the book block may be removed.
- The book mark is advanced automatically and fixed in the ribbon support. Now the next book block may be placed into the machine.

Otherly very time-consuming manual processes are automated with the PräziRibbon. The bookmark ribbon is wetted with adhesive, cut to the preset length, folded over and then pressed against the book block. When the book block has then been removed, the next piece of bookmark ribbon is advanced.
