The PräziMark is a hot-stamping machine to be used in library bookbinderies and in the specialty advertising industry. It is designed for jobs requiring frequent copy changes (book titles) and for one-off personalization. The machine is connected to a PC (not included in delivery) and works similar to a daisywheel printer with a heated printwheel. Data is entered into the PC or imported from external sources so that all standard editor functions can be used. The programme controls whether the lines are to be flush left, centered or flush right. The material to be stamped is placed onto the table and (depending on the machine version) text is positioned automatically. All print functions are controlled by PC with the exception of the material thickness and the stamping depth which are adjusted on the machine. No further adjustments are required. After the stamping process the table returns to the position defined individually to remove the ready product.
The following PräziMark types are available:
- Type 404 for use in library binderies to stamp book cases: This model has a divided stamping table which has a standard support for book cases at its front. This support may easily be exchanged for the book cover support vertical book cases which is also included in delivery. As an optional extra, we offer a centralizer which automatically centers the book cases for stamping on the spine.
- Type 414 for one-off personalization and company prints in the diary and book industry: This model has a continuous table of size 30 x 30 cm. At its back, it is equipped with a pneumatic material support. Bevelled book block supports are mounted on both sides of the stamping table which hold the open diary/book during the stamping process. Stamping texts may consist of one or several lines.
Both models use printwheels with two rows of max. 90 characters and printwheels with four rows of up to 180 characters.
Process

Advantages
Embossing lines are captured, edited and saved on an external PC. This makes it possible to import text from external sources. Since type wheels are used for embossing, fast work is possible on the PräziMark, as this means that there is no longer any need to use the individual letters by hand or to set them down.
Even with different fonts, the type wheels can be changed quickly and easily. The positioning of the embossing lines is software-controlled, enabling extremely clean embossing. Despite the large number of functions, the PräziMark takes up relatively little space.
The PräziMark type 404 is visible here with a split embossing table with a universal holder for book covers and a special unit for embossing long titles - especially for embossing single and multi-line book titles on open book covers.
The PräziMark is also available as type 414 with a version with embossing table with inclined book block units and pneumatic material clamping - for single and multi-line name embossing directly on books.
