Mechanism for the production of pocket diaries

Mounting:
STEP 1 – Fitting the bottom rail into the cover
The flat bottom rail is firmly integrated into the cover. To do this, position the rail in the desired spot on the cover board and then cover the board with your chosen binding material (e.g. book cloth, imitation leather or paper). The rail is now permanently fixed to the cover.

STEP 2 – Leave the bar’s hooks exposed
Important: It is essential to keep the locking tabs/hooks of the bottom bar exposed when covering the cover. Cut the binding material cleanly away at these points so that the hooks remain accessible. This is the only way to ensure the ring mechanism can be securely locked into place later.

STEP 3 – Click the ring mechanism into place
Now place the mechanism top (with the 6 rings) onto the exposed hooks of the bottom rail and press it firmly down until it clicks audibly into place. The connection is now secure and permanent. The rings can then be easily opened and closed using the toggle lever.

Tip: Ensure that the binding material lies cleanly and smoothly against the hooks so that the mechanism sits flat and operates smoothly.
